# How to Publish & Edit Podcast Episodes Using Captivate Sync™

Whether publishing an episode from your custom WordPress website, or from within your Captivate account, Captivate Sync™ ensures that both platforms are beautifully synchronised.

***Note: to ensure a smooth publishing flow, make sure that the timezone settings on your WordPress site is the same as the timezone of your podcast.***

**How do I publish an episode from my custom WordPress website using Captivate Sync™**

* From your WordPress dashboard click *My Shows* on the left hand navigation menu
* Click *Publish Episode* for the podcast you want to schedule an episode for

From here, you can follow the same [podcast upload and publish process](https://help.captivate.fm/en/articles/4408607-how-to-upload-and-publish-your-podcast-episodes-on-captivate) as you would from your Captivate dashboard.

**Note: Since WordPress 5.3, large images are automatically scaled to a default maximum of 2560px in either dimension. Since podcast and episode art needs to be 3000px by 3000px, you can override this by using a filter in your theme's functions.php file - follow [this guide](https://help.captivate.fm/en/article/how-to-scale-large-images-for-episode-cover-art-1x3nm9j/) to make these edits.**

***A note on WordPress fields:*** *When publishing an episode from your custom WordPress website, you have the ability to add the following additional features:*

* *Podcast specific categories and tags for on-site grouping*
* *A custom featured image*
* *Ability to manage the WordPress permalink for each episode*
* *The option to allow for comments, pingbacks & trackbacks*
