If you want to submit your podcast to Apple Podcasts, or you need to update your RSS feed, Apple Podcasts Connect is a great resource for that.
Accessing your Podcasts Connect account is super simple - log in with your Apple ID, and make the necessary updates for your show.
However, there are times when Podcasts Connect will throw you in a redirect loop, and keep bringing you back to the log-in screen. It'll keep refreshing or look like it's not connecting. It's frustrating, but really common, and here's how to solve it!
Why does it happen?
This can be down to the way podcasts used to be published via Apple iTunes but are now through Apple Podcasts, even though you still log in via iTunes Connect, which can be a little confusing! 😕
How to fix the Apple Podcasts Connect Login error
If you get this error, here's how to fix it:
Make sure your Apple ID is the one you use for the Apple Store. There are many ways to create a new Apple ID if you need one for Podcasts Connect.
If your existing Apple ID is the one associated with Podcasts Connect, log into your Apple account and check your billing information is correct and up-to-date.
On the Apple Store, you always need to have a current payment preference set up, even to download or use free apps. If you need to update your billing, you can do that here.
Once you've confirmed both your Apple ID is the right one for your podcast, and your billing information is correct, head back to the Podcasts Connect log-in screen and try to log in again.
If everything's good and you're logged in, you should see this screen:
Click on the Podcasts Connect icon, and continue with the submission of your podcast, updating your feed, or checking out your listener demographics!
