How to Create a New Episode Using Spark AI
Follow these steps to create awesome episode titles, show notes, summaries, transcripts, and more with Spark AI.

log in to your Captivate dashboard
click Create New at the top right of the screen
choose to either drag and drop your audio file into the pink shaded box, use your most recent upload, or upload the file directly from your computer
click Generate Transcript and AI Assets
a flyout box will appear, letting you add additional information (what kind of topic it is, the flow of the conversation, the what takeaways you want to share, etc) as well as advising how many speakers should be identified for the transcript
click Generate Transcript and AI Content
Spark AI will start transcribing your audio file, and use that to create your full episode assets:
Transcript generation
Episode title suggestions
Episode intro summary
Episode show note suggestions
Key takeaways
Time stamps for chapters
Ad marker suggestions
SEO description
SEO keywords
Once generated, you can then use the suggestions you want to add to the episode, as well as view and edit the transcript.
Click View Transcript, and this will let you edit the transcript as well as assign names to each speaker (or edit the ones provided), split the paragraphs into shorter ones, and replace words that might be incorrect
For the Episode Assets, you can use them following these steps:
Episode Titles can be added directly to the episode by clicking Add to Episode next to the title you want to use
Summary/Intro can be added directly to the episode by clicking Add to Show Notes
Show Notes can be added directly to the episode by clicking Add to Show Notes (once you’ve decided on which one of the three suggestions to use)
Takeaways can be added directly to the episode by clicking Add to Show Notes
Chapters can either be added directly to the episode by clicking Attach to Audio File and Captivate will automatically add the chapters, or you can copy the chapters and paste them into the show notes manually if you prefer to have them there as opposed to the episode audio
Ad Marker Suggestions will suggest where to insert your mid rolls, and offer context on why that time stamp was chosen, and you can add directly to the episode by clicking Create AMIE Markers
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) will help optimize your episode for search, and will automatically add the title you chose for the SEO-optimized title. If you wish to use the SEO Description created by Spark, click Add to SEO Description and this will be added to the relevant section on the episode editing screen
Keywords are created for your YouTube episode (if you have a video version of your podcast) and can be used as tags on the YouTube episode creation process
And that’s it! Once you’ve chosen which suggestions to use and added them to your episode, you can click Close and then continue to optimize and edit the episode ready for publication.
This includes adding chapter artwork and links if you use those, and checking the Ad Marker Suggestions time stamps to ensure they’re where you want them to be, and using a contextual pause in the audio where it makes sense to insert an ad.
