As a podcaster, one of the biggest goals that you have is to drive people through to your website. That's why Captivate has automatic clickable timestamps to make it easier for your listeners to navigate your audio in just one click!

Whether creating a new episode, or updating an already published episode, it's super easy to create clickable timestamps to your show notes from your Captivate account.

All you need to do to add a clickable timestamp to your podcast show notes is to type a timestamp in the following format:

03:41

04:26

10:31

etc...

Once you publish your episode, Captivate Sites or Captivate Sync™ will automatically turn those timestamps into clickable links that will take the listener to that point in your embedded Captivate podcast player. Magic!

Note: if your show is over an hour, you need to ensure you format the timestamps with an extra zero in front of the hour digit. So, for example:

  • One hour, 27 minutes, and 15 seconds would be 01:27:15

Don't worry, if you type an invalid timestamp in (that doesn't exist, for example), Captivate is smart enough to know that it's not a valid one and won't turn it into a link.

Here's your 5-minute step-by-step guide on how you can create clickable timestamps for each of your episodes 👍

Want to enable clickable timestamps on your own custom website? No problem! Here's how you can do that.
