What information do I need for my account?

It's up to you on how much or how little you share, but you'll need to have your name and best email address added at the minimum (for any account issues you need to contact support for), as well as a strong account password, and billing details for your plan.

Will my email be public?

Your account email won't be public - however, the email you associate with your podcast will be. You can use the same email as your account, or a different one, if you want to keep that information separate.

What's the API key I see in my account?

This is to help you securely connect your Captivate account with any apps that support it. Our Captivate Sync WordPress plugin, for example, or the Alitu editing platform. This API key is unique to you and your account.

Do I need to add personal details to my account?

Not at all! We want you to feel 100% secure and comfortable with your account and the information you share. For public-facing information (for your podcast, for example), we can help advise how to best manage what you share, and where to use it.

Can I change the details in my account?

For sure! If you ever need to change your email, or billing information, or your account profile picture, you can do all of that seamlessly from within your Captivate dashboard! πŸ˜„

I forgot my password - what now?

No problem, we all do it from time to time! Simply click the Forgot your password? link on the login screen, and we'll send a reset link out to you immediately.

This can be for a few reasons. It may be in your spam folder, so check there (if it is, make sure to whitelist our email address to avoid this). It could also be that there's a misspelling in the email address - hop on to support chat, and we can check for you.

Can I change my password?

You bet! You can do this at any time from the My Account dashboard - just make sure it's a nice, strong password you're changing it to.

Can I switch between plans on my account?

Yep, we make that super easy for you! You can do that from the My Account dashboard, underneath your profile picture. Simply click the Upgrade tab, and then follow the simple steps to choose the right plan and billing frequency for you.

How do I cancel my account?

What - you really want to leave us? πŸ˜‰ No worries - while we'll be sorry to see you go, you can cancel your account from within your Captivate dashboard. Underneath the Billing section, you'll see the option to Cancel Account. Click that, and then follow the steps to cancel, including making sure any current shows are managed accordingly (deleted or redirected to a new host).
