With Captivate’s awesome Memberships and Tips features, it’s never been easier to allow your listeners to support your podcast, either with a one-off donation or a monthly subscription. As always, Captivate is dedicated to helping you make money from your podcast, which is why we’ve kept fees for this feature to a minimum.
Here are the Captivate and Stripe fees for each feature.
Memberships
Captivate’s revenue share: 12%
Stripe fees: 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction
Total fees: 14.9% + 30¢ per transaction
Tips
Captivate’s revenue share: 5%
Stripe fees: 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction
Total fees: 7.9% + 30¢ per transaction
Withdrawal fees
When making a withdrawal, Stripe will charge a withdrawal fee of 0.25% + 30¢ to your bank (Captivate doesn’t take anything from this). It’s up to you how often you withdraw, once the minimum withdrawal balance has been met.
Your overall earnings
Your earnings will reflect the amount left after the total fee and withdrawal fee has been deducted. So, as an example:
Membership earnings: $100
Captivate revenue share: $12
Stripe fee: $3.20
Total fee: $15.20
Your earnings: $84.80
