How to Create a New Stripe Account or Connect an Existing One

Access your Membership and Tips earnings with ease with Stripe and Captivate!

Getting paid directly to your bank from your Membership and Tips is super easy, with Captivate’s integration with online payment gateway, Stripe. Here’s how to create a new account, or connect an existing one.

Note: Captivate uses Stripe Express. Some countries may not be supported. If you don’t see your country in the drop-down list when connecting Stripe, we’re sorry but that country isn’t currently supported.

Create a New Stripe Account

  • In your Captivate dashboard, go to My Account > Stripe Integration

  • Click Set Up Stripe Integration

  • Enter your email and phone number for verification, then click Continue

  • Enter the verification code you receive on your phone

  • On the next screen, choose your country and type of business, then click Continue

  • On the next screen enter your personal details, then click Continue

  • On the next screen, add your industry and your website, then click Continue

  • On the next screen, select your bank to connect with (or choose to add bank details manually), then click Continue

  • Select an account for payments to be sent to, then click Continue

  • On the next screen, review all the details you’ve entered

  • If all look good, click Agree and Submit

This takes you back to Captivate, and your Stripe account is now connected!

Connecting an Existing Stripe Account

  • In your Captivate dashboard, go to My Account > Stripe Integration

  • Click Set Up Stripe Integration

  • This will take you to the Stripe sign up page

  • Add your existing Stripe account email and enter the 6 digit code sent to your phone (note: for existing Stripe accounts, the email addresses should match each other in Captivate and Stripe)

  • On the next screen, check your saved account (or the one you want to use with Captivate if you have several)

  • Click Continue

  • Choose your currency, and enter your bank details (you just need to re-enter those since Captivate is a new connection)

  • Click Save

  • Review your details

  • Click Agree & submit

This takes you back to Captivate, and your Stripe account is now connected!
