How to Convert AMIE to Campaign Management
With Captivate’s Campaign Management feature, it’s never been easier to manage all your dynamic ad and content campaigns, and converting your AMIE v1 content to Campaign Management is as easy as a simple click.
- log in to your Captivate dashboard
- on the left hand navigation menu, click Campaigns
- review the information about converting to Campaign Management. This includes converting your existing AMIE files, standardizing the audio, and creating new Campaigns to replace your existing AMIE content.
Note: this is important, since converting to Campaign Management from your existing AMIE use is a complete upgrade, with specific requirements for your audio files. Because of this, once you convert to Campaign Management it isn’t possible to revert to AMIE v1, so we just want to make sure you’re good to go with the upgrade.
If you currently use AMIE v1 for a large amount of active and highly customized dynamic ads and content, we recommend chatting with our support team before upgrading, to discuss your goals with dynamic content and how Campaign Management would manage those.
- once you’ve reviewed the information, check the disclaimer box about upgrading to the new Campaign Management feature
- click Upgrade to Campaign Management
This will then show you Proposed Campaigns, which is what your current AMIE files will look like post-conversion. You can use the dropdown option on each Campaign to view Campaign Name, Placements (where your ads currently sit in your episode - so, pre roll, mid roll, or post roll), and the episodes each Campaign is currently active in.
Once you review this data and you’re happy to proceed, click Confirm and Proceed with Conversion. This starts the conversion of AMIE v1 to Campaign Management, as well as converting your episodes to be ready for Campaign Management.
Note: the time to process the conversion depends on how many episodes you have and how many AMIE files there are to convert. If there are a lot, you can leave this screen and continue to use other parts of your Captivate dashboard, and check on progress afterward.
Once completed, you’ll see the Campaign Conversion Complete, and from here you can rename the default converted Campaign Names, view which episodes the new Campaigns are active on, and create a new Campaign to use existing ad slots but take advantage of the new geo-targeting feature as well as how long campaigns should run for, max impressions limits, and more!
