How to Update Ad Slot Amounts with Bulk Ad Editor

Using Captivate’s Campaigns to manage ads in your podcast is super easy, but sometimes you might want to change the number of ad slots in a campaign. That’s also super easy to do, with our Bulk Ad Editor.

• log in to your Captivate dashboard
• click Bulk Ad Editor in the Advanced section of the left hand menu

You can now choose whether to update all ad slots, or specific episode ad slots.

Target All Slot Types

Here you can change the number of ads for pre roll, mid roll, and post roll.

• click on the ad slot you wish to update (all pre-roll, all mid-roll, or all post-roll)
• on the pop-up box, choose how many slots you’d like (0, 1, 2, 3)
• click Update Slots
• repeat if you wish to change other slots (if you wanted to change all pre-rolls and all mid-roll,s for example)
• click Confirm and Apply

All episodes will now have the updated slots, and will play the relevant Campaign audio files for these new slots.

Episode Ad Slots

This is for when you want to be more granular and just change ad slots on specific episodes.

• either use the search bar to find an episode, or scroll until you see the episode(s) you wish to update
• use the plus / minus option on the ad marker to choose how many ads should be inserted in that slot
• repeat for the episodes you want to update
• click Confirm and Apply

And that’s it! Your new ad slots will now be in place and insert your chosen ads, based on your Campaign settings.
